Anwendung

1. Das Kabel ist für EIA RS-232- oder RS-422-Anwendungen konzipiert und wird als Computerkabel verwendet. Es sind auch Mehrpaarkabel erhältlich. Es eignet sich für die Produktionsprozesssteuerung und Gerätekonverter.
2. RS-232, RS-422 und RS-485 werden alle für die digitale Datenübertragung verwendet. Der RS-232-Standard wird hauptsächlich für COM-Ports oder serielle Schnittstellen herkömmlicher Computer verwendet. Die Schnittstellen RS-422 und RS-485 werden hauptsächlich zum Anschluss verschiedener Geräte in der Industrie eingesetzt. Die Übertragungsart von RS-232 und RS-422 ist Vollduplex, RS-485 Halbduplex (2-adrig) bzw. Vollduplex (4-adrig). Die maximale Entfernung bei 9600 Bit/s beträgt bei RS-232 15 Meter, bei RS-422 und RS-485 1200 Meter. Die Topologie von RS-232 und RS-232 ist Punkt-zu-Punkt, die von RS-485 hingegen Mehrpunkt. Die drei Kabelarten werden für mechanische, elektrische, Signal- und Übertragungsprozesse verwendet.
